Uninstall current Google Chrome on Mac OS X
First you will need to uninstall current Google Chrome - it can be done in 2 steps:
- Close all Chrome browsers.
- Go to the Applications folder and simply drag out Google Chrome to the Trash icon in the Dock. Note that you will need administrative rights to do this.
Install old version of Google Chrome on Mac OS X
Old Google Chrome installation can also be done in 2 steps:
- Download any old version of Google Chrome for Mac OS X from http://google-chrome.en.uptodown.com/mac/old.
- After downloading the installer just run it and the installation will follow.
Note that after the installation will be finished, you will need to stop auto-update of Google Chrome to keep the version you just installed. To stop Google Chrome from auto-updating on Mac OS X you will need to execute the next command in your terminal:
defaults write com.google.Keystone.Agent checkInterval 0
To check that auto-updates were disabled successfully, execute the following:
defaults read com.google.Keystone.Agent checkInterval
